Year-Round News & Updates on the Minnesota Timberwolves
Kevin Love finally underwent surgery today in New York City on that broken hand. It's been over a week since he re-injured the hand and a full week since they diagnosed it as broken third and fourth metacarpals that would require surgery. The delay has been that his surgeon had actually recently underwent surgery on their knee and were unable to perform his, immediately.
Thus, it will be 8-10 weeks from the day of the surgery (Jan. 15th), which would likely peg his return sometime in March. Giving him anywhere from a month and a half to three weeks left in the regular season. Let's hope the Wolves are still in the playoff chase by then. Chase Budinger's return from his lateral meniscus tear is currently slated for the same time, so we could see them both return for the final 20 games or so, assuming we're still in the hunt--that'll be a BIG boost. That's all for now, thanks for reading HOWL and GO WOLVES!
