When asked about his chances in the three-point contest, Love said: "I think I got a good shot at anything I do. I'm a pretty competitive guy."
Love was selected by Western Conference coaches as a reserve. If you remember last season--he was selected by Commissioner David Stern as an injury-replacement to Yao Ming. In last season's all-star game, he came off the bench and played about 12 minutes and scored two points and grabbed four rebounds on the West team that won last year in L.A.
Love finished fifth among Western Conference forwards and was beaten out by the Clippers' Blake Griffin & the Thunder's Kevin Durant.
When asked if he thinks anybody wants to see rebounding in the All-Star game, Love said: "If I go out and get 20."
Other players named to the Western Conference team were...
G: Chris Paul (Clippers) (5th time)
G: Kobe Bryant (Lakers) (14th time)
F: Kevin Durant (Thunder) (3rd time)
