Year-Round News & Updates on the Minnesota Timberwolves
About a week ago, Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN sent out this tweet... We've known even before then that the Wolves have expressed interest in Andre Miller. The most likely scenario is that the Wolves would look to move J.J. Barea. Unfortunately, with Ty Lawson and Nate Robinson on the roster, the Nuggets really don't have a need for another undersized guard.
That was until Nate Robinson went down with an injury. Nate underwent an MRI on Thursday afternoon for an injury that was originally diagnosed as a sprained ACL. As of Friday afternoon, it's sounding as though Robinson's injury could be more severe and he may have torn that ACL. If that's the case, it's clear that he'd be out for the season and the Nuggets would be in the market for a point guard. With Andre Miller exiled and not with the team, there are some reports that he could re-join the team as the primary reserve point guard. It remains to be seen if both parties would be willing to make nice and have a reunion. The Timberwolves could certainly use an upgrade at point guard and I don't know too many people who would be upset to see Barea not on the roster. If Robinson did indeed tear his ACL, we should hear more on the Miller trade market in the very near future.
