Year-Round News & Updates on the Minnesota Timberwolves
Kevin Love's maternal grandmother has passed away and as a result, Kevin is away from the team to be with his family.
Love was not at practice on Friday and will not play in Saturday's game vs. the Miami Heat. Minnesota's next game isn't until Tuesday (vs. Detroit) and it's likely he'll return to the team before then. This will be the first game of the season that Kevin has missed, he's played in the other 19 and is currently leading the NBA in rebounds (13.6) and double-doubles (18). It's likely that Dante Cunningham will get the start in his place and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute (who has now had a lot more time with the team) should see more playing time at power forward, too. Also, Rick & (assistant coach) David Adelman missed Friday's practice as well. David's wife was expecting a baby. It sounds as though Rick will be back for Saturday's bout with Miami. I'm not sure whether the baby was born or if David will be on the sidelines on Saturday night. That's all for now, thanks for reading and GO WOLVES!
