Year-Round News & Updates on the Minnesota Timberwolves
I was keeping a close eye on Twitter Saturday night, as I waited to hear whether or not Christian Ponder would be playing for the Vikings, I instead found that Love had done some further damage to that hand.
According to the TWolves Public Relations twitter account, Kevin Love had an MRI today that revealed he re-fractured the third metacarpal on his right hand. He'll be examined by hand specialist Dr. Andy Weiland in New York City later this week and more info will be available after the visit. That doctor is the same specialist he saw in October, when he initially fractured the hand, doing knuckle pushups. He did have X-rays taken last night that came back normal, however the MRI today revealed the 're-fracture'. I wouldn't expect another early surprise return any time soon for Love. We'll get more updates to you as they become available on the Injury Report page on this site (found under the Team Report section). Thanks for reading HOWL and GO WOLVES!
