Year-Round News & Updates on the Minnesota Timberwolves
Rick Adelman is the frontrunner for the Minnesota Timberwolves head coaching job--in fact it's been reported that the job is his for the taking.
Jerry Zgoda of the Star Tribune has said that his presence at the interview last week means that the Timberwolves have already agreed to his pay range of: $4M-$6M. Zgoda has also said, via Twitter that Adelman becoming the next TWolves head coach has become serious the past few weeks for a variety of reasons. The first: the TWolves willing to pay Adelman his asking price. Secondly, the fact that the Timberwolves would be willing to accept Adelman's decision on his coaching staff. And of course, lastly, Adelman's long-standing relationship with Timberwolves all-star power forward: Kevin Love (who play HS basketball in Portland with Adelman's son). Of course, the coaching search charade will likely continue, for one simple reason: The Timberwolves are in no hurry to pay someone millions of dollars to do nothing. Until the lockout end is in sight, expect the coaching search/negotiation to press on. Will Rick Adelman be the next Minnesota Timberwolves head coach? Do you think someone else should be? One of the other candidates? Someone else? That's all for now, thanks for reading and remember to check back daily as WeeblyWolves is constantly putting out stories all year round.
