Year-Round News & Updates on the Minnesota Timberwolves
The Minnesota Timberwolves are desperately in need of some kind of boost. Hopefully with their head coach returning to the sidelines after three long weeks, he can be that 'boost'.
Rick has been away from the team while he tended to his ailing wife, Mary Kay. She's reportedly doing better now and has returned home, allowing Adelman to return to the team. It sounds as though Adelman hopes he's back for good. He didn't want to return if it meant there'd be a chance he'd have to leave again. On his time away, Adelman said, "It's hard, I've never done that. Some things are more important." He was at practice on Monday and says that the plan is to coach the team when they face the Clippers on Wednesday, "if they let me." I don't think you'll find to many Wolves fans upset with Adelman back on the sidelines and Porter back to his role as assistant coach. Porter coached the team to a 2-9 record in Rick's absence. There were some circumstances that made Porter's job these past few weeks difficult and while I was one of many fans criticizing his coaching, playing without Nikola Pekovic & Alexey Shved for the past week and a half has made things even more difficult. Rick says he's pleased with the way the team has played really hard, but everyone has to do a little bit more. He is pleased with the way they continue to fight. That's all for now, thanks for reading HOWL and GO WOLVES!
