Year-Round News & Updates on the Minnesota Timberwolves
Rick Adelman made his second trip to the Twin Cities in as many days and there's still been no offer made for him to succeed Kurt Rambis as the Minnesota Timberwolves new head coach.
Adelman arrived on Monday night and had dinner with President of Operations David Kahn (who is also Adelman's neighbor in Portland). Tuesday he visited Glen Taylor--who he didn't meet with the first time he was in town, because Taylor wasn't feeling well. As of right now, the candidate list remains: Terry Porter, Don Nelson, Sam Mitchell, Bernie Bickerstaff, Rick Adelman & Larry Brown. Mike Woodson, interviewed as well, but he recently accepted a position with the Knicks as an assistant alongside Mike D'Antoni (full story below). Rick Adelman has been the clear favorite for the job from the beginning, which makes it surprising that he still hasn't received any offer yet, especially after two different visits to Minnesota. Of course, as noted before, the Timberwolves are in no rush to hire someone, who they'll pay to do...nothing, during the lockout--which has no end in sight. Fans & Players alike are becoming anxious about who'll be the new TWolves head coach. New Point Guard: Ricky Rubio even joked via Twitter whether they can refer to Adelman as their new coach yet. That's all for now, but I'm sure it won't be too long before we've got some more news on the coaching search. Feel free to catch up; under the coach search tab, on all our posts and updates!! Thanks for reading and GO WOLVES!
